Tiling has been a popular aspect of design in the bathroom for many reasons. It is practical and easy to clean, tiles can also be made into many different styles, colours and shapes. But, the classic bathroom tiles which have been popular in the past are the standard white square tiling. You know the kind we mean, white square shapes with perhaps a detailed trim around the edges to add to the pattern. There is a new trend which has emerged not only in the bathroom but in the kitchen, and throughout the home. This is brick style tiling.

As you can see above these smaller, thinner tiles are fitted the same as bricks, off set against each other to give a whole new look to the style of bathrooms decor. This is a wonderful tiling technique, it completely updates the look of any bathroom. you can opt for the crisp look of the white tiles with a shine as seen above. Or there are also thinner tiles in a matte style such as these stylish dark grey slate look effect tiles below.

If you don’t want to commit to decorating your entire bathroom in this brick tiling then perhaps you can choose to select one wall to focus your design onto. It is a great idea to update the tiling on your shower wall. This will add interest not only to your shower but to your whole bathroom. This is also a great way to update your worn out old tiling in your shower and give your bathroom a make over and update it with a fresh clean feel.

Would you install brick style tiling? If not in your bathroom then maybe in the kitchen instead…
