Towel Radiators

Radiators were once simply a necessity in the home, with little style or decorum to be seen. Large bulky heaps of metal were stuck to the walls of homes, without style in mind! We love large radiators for their warming effect, but due to technology these large pieces are not needed as much. You can still keep the amount of heat which you need in your home, especially at this time of year, you may not need such large fixtures anymore. Update your radiators not only for style, reliability and comfort but also for space! And you need not compromise on style – especially in the bathroom!

The above style is both interesting and useful!

We love towel radiators which allow for funky shapes, sizes and design. We have put together a collection of fun designs which we think will really add a touch of something special to your bathroom. This contemporary look is popular with a large range of ages and looks great in any bathroom. You will be amazed at the heat which radiates from these pieces. People can be mistaken that due to the small size of these pieces that there was a compromise in heat – but there is not! Feature radiators look fantastic whilst keeping their function running.

Heater such as the one which is featured above is brilliant for style and practicality. We love that they look like coat hangers! So, remember that your radiator can be more than a necessity piece in your home. Make it personal and have fun when deciding!

Classic Ceramic

We love using different materials throughout the bathroom as there are many that are practical, stylish and readily available. The use of ceramic materials in the bathroom has been popular for many many years. Ceramic is also largely popular when making vases and pottery pieces. However, the long life of this material has led to its popularity in the bathroom. The crisp look of this product makes any bathroom look clean, new and fresh. See our round sink below, the ceramic bowl encourages a bold statement within the room whilst keeping in with the theme of cleanliness which should run through any bathroom.

There are many different shapes and sizes of ceramic sinks available. We also stock a large range of sinks which will suit your needs when considering choosing ceramic as your staple material. Click here for our full ceramic range. We recognise that there are many different ways of using ceramic throughout your bathroom, this is anther reason why a ceramic bowl is a great choice. There are ceramic soap bowls, toilet brush holders and soap dispensers which are available and will keep in fitting with your basin.

Here are a few of our favourite ceramics. Your next decision is what material you would like when deciding on the material for underneath your basin. The top of most surfaces in the bathroom will match with ceramic due to its bold bright white. However, you could always choose a slightly different effect and go for a monochrome feel with a black surface as seen below.

Terrific Tiles

So, last week we discussed how to update your bathroom via the flooring and kinds of materials which can be used in this area. So this week we are turning our attention to terrific tiles! Tiling is a great way to give extra detail to your bathroom. Mosaic style tiling is incredibly effective and gives an aura of expense and exclusivity

Some mosaic patterns can be difficult to achieve, as they can be both expensive and fiddly. These two problems combined can be extremely messy, time and money consuming. But, there is a solution to this problem. You can now purchase blocks of mosaic patterns which are the size of large tiles. This means that you can buy fewer tiles and spend less time fixing up your bathroom – which is great!

You could update your whole bathroom by tiling around the majority of your walls, or just tile certain parts. Perhaps you could tile 4 tiles up from your bath in colour. Or, just have a tile shower and if you have a separate bath with no shower attachment then you could leave you walls as they are, and simply decorate with art instead.

However you want to decorate your bathroom tiles is a sure and classic way to give your bathroom a homely and cosy feel – this is what most people want their bathroom to be like. There are many styles which you can approach in this area. So, then why not have a look through these pictures and see what ideas take your fancy!

Toilet Time

Ok so the toilet isn’t usually something that we like to talk about. But they are actually rather important to the layout of your bathroom.

So, make sure that you plan where your toilet will go as to utilise the space which is available to you. There are actually many rather nice toilets which can be fitted into your bathroom which aren’t too big or quite simply, plain. Many colours, styles and designs are available. You could install an extra bathroom in your house if you only have the one upstairs.

If you are working with a bathroom with an outdated toilet and you just want to focus on that one feature then it may be difficult to move it as bathrooms aren’t usually the biggest room of the house. But it is possible to slightly change you just must be prepared for this to be more of a costly procedure. So be careful when starting a job of this size as sometimes DIY projects can spiral out of control and go way over budget.

But you can get toilets easily now and they are more stylish than you would think. Most people keep up to date with their furnishings, their floors and colour schemes but why not update your toilet to create a different effect in your bathroom. Sinks and bath tubs are also updated more often than the toilet in a household. So see if there are ideas which you like here and take our advice on board when updating your bathroom.

Don’t be afraid to talk about the toilet!

Shower Head Heaven

We all enjoy a nice hot shower in the mornings, especially now it’s getting colder. But a shower doesn’t have to be just one plain head that maybe has low pressure (we’ve all been there). Now, there are many funky shower heads available to keep us so fresh and so clean.

Whether you just want a nice new shower head as your current one is getting slightly outdated, or if you want something new and contemporary, we have the ideas right here! So, take a look at visit some online services to help you find the shower of your dreams. After all, haven’t we all had those eureka moments whilst having our daily spruce?

Another problem with showers is the mildew and lime scale that collect on the top of them. Keeping your shower and shower head clean is a necessity, as we all know. But sometime it can prove difficult to stay on the top of due to the amounts of water which run through it on such a regular basis. Also if you have a large family then you will be using your shower many times over the course of just one day. A great way to solve these problems is to use a daily shower spray which will help to keep the grime at bay!

Have a look at these shower heads and get inspired to add a new feature to your bathroom! You could go all out and get a Jacuzzi style shower with jets built into the walls…
