Bathroom New Years Resolutions

6 New Year’s Resolutions for your Bathroom (Resolutions you may actually keep)

Happy New Year from Bathrooms and More! We hope that 2017 wasn’t all that bad, and that either way: your 2018 will be infinitely better. And just like every year, most of us have some Resolutions that we intend to keep, many of which we’ll break I’m sure.

There are however, some New Years Resolutions that we can make, and keep. We’ve put together a list of Resolutions for your Bathroom that we can help you save money on water, improve your time management and increase your overall relaxation. Are you ready to start the New Year strong?

The 1st Resolution: Conserve Water – Preserve our Future

You may already think that you’re pretty good at this, but there are always more ways for you to save. Do your bit for both your wallet and the environment and make some adjustments where possible.

There are a number of different things that you can incorporate into your bathroom to aid in this, from low flow and dual flush toilets, to OneTouch faucets. Yes, these things all cost money, though you have to speculate to accumulate, and they will save you money in the long run, after all.

The 2nd Resolution: The Future’s Bright

Bathroom Lighting in 2018

In the Bathroom, lighting is one of the most important, yet often neglected components. Well-optimised lighting helps you relax, and works wonders for your state of mind. Side lights can help you with your vanity tasks, especially when tending your complexion.

Things like frosted glass can allow you all of the natural light you need, while preserving your privacy.

Above all else though, get your hands on as many tea-lights as you can. Christmas has been and gone so for many of you this should already be in hand. Bath as often as you can and light it up in there. Pamper yourself and brighten your mood.

The 3rd Resolution: Organise

A busy day begins and ends in the bathroom. Why not make life easier for yourself by ensuring that everything in your bathroom is organised? The key to a stress-free day is streamlining your life. If everything has its place, you can simply roll in and roll out. You don’t want to be running around the house trying to find your toiletries – De-Clutter your bathroom and I promise you’ll; recognise the benefits almost instantly.

The 4th Resolution – Time Management (Organisation’s Best Friend)

Resolution’s 3 and 4 go together like peas and carrots, though we do not recommend eating dinner in the bathroom. That’s taking time management to the extreme. What you can do on the other hand, is little things like catching up with your emails while you’re on the loo, or listening to the News while taking a shower. Some of these may sound silly to you, but if you can shave a few minutes off hear and there, you’ll have more spare time to relax.

The 5th Resolution – Find Time for Yourself

Relaxing in Bath

While I appreciate that Resolution’s 3 and 4 are telling you to organise yourself and make every second count; if you take both Resolution’s properly you will almost certainly find time to slow down and take a nice and relaxing bath now and again.

The most important thing in your life is you. Your bathroom should be a place where you can truly be alone and relax. So, do just that: RELAX.

The 6th Resolution – Go Green!

Bamboo styled Bathroom

The simplest and yet most rewarding Resolution of all: Going Green. And no, it’s nothing about what kind of impact you may or may not be having on the environment. This one is just for you!

Go out and buy some beautiful plants for your bathroom. Take the time to treat yourself to some natural goodness. Plants are truly beautiful and the right ones such as Aloe Vera or Bamboo can really thrive in a humid environment like a bathroom. Going green will help you to relax, oxygenate your bathroom and inspire your heart and soul to relax.
