Timestamp your bathoom with an ancient or modern design

There is always certain elegance to a bathroom that is styled entirely in marble flooring and tiles. You will always find yourself walking into a marble bathroom and feeling yourself in a position of awe, breathing in your impressive surrounding. It is almost as though you are stepping into the Roman bathhouses of ages past. Marble certainly creates an air of age and wisdom to a bathroom, with an added cleanliness aesthetic. Marble is a very easy surface to clean and maintain, so you can always guarantee that the bathroom will be glimmering with beauty.

There are many styles you can go for when incorporating marble into your bathroom. You don’t necessarily have to go for the rustic and ancient bathhouse style (as attractive as they are). You can keep your bathroom looking rather sleek and modern, while holding onto a piece of that aged, marble feel. LED lights, large mirrors and up to date faucets are particularly handy when trying to create a modern feel. Carefully place LED lights in a bathroom are also incredibly useful when trying to create a chilled out and rejuvenating environment to wash in.

With regards to furniture, I prefer oak bathroom cabinets or those with a fine wooden finish. Bathrooms that are made entirely out of marble can tend to feel rather cold, whereas a few wooden vanities can really help to warm the space up a tiny bit. I do not mean that having wood in your bathrooms will keep your heating bills down; it is just a figure of speech. The oak does not literally give off heat, it is just a feeling that these natural materials tend to provoke. For example: greenery in a bathroom always gives off a relaxing and spacious feeling. People tend to feel more at ease when they are in the presence of plants; especially in a bathroom.
