Funky Tubs

Here at Bathrooms and more store we love bath tubs! In fact, nothing is better than relaxing in a deep bubble bath. But when installing a tub into your bathroom, there are so many choices to be made. Traditional or modern? There are many avenues to go down. However, now there are many more options than simply which colour or material to select when choosing your bath. We’ve gathered together some of our favourite bath tubs, some of them are completely out of the ordinary. Which one is your favourite?

This fantastic copper bath echoes back to the Victorian era when a similar (yet much smaller in most cases) bath such as this would be placed in front of the fire at a home & baths would be taken without the luxury of running water. The coupling of copper with this dark teal shade is gorgeous, this bath really makes a statement. This look makes your bathing an experience, rather than simply a cleansing routine. The addition of white accessories such as a bathmat & towel stand out due to the bold colours of the walls and tub itself.

Although, if you have a large space available to you & want to create a feeling of luxury then choose a circular tub. This jacuzzi – like design may look somewhat extravagant but surely we’d all love to bathe in this wonder. If you could install a specialist tub into your bathroom, which design would you choose?

Marble Madness

Marble bathrooms are a great style which can be added to any bathroom. It’s a classic material which has been used in bathrooms throughout history. There is a Roman style which is relayed through this modern trend. We love marble & its versatility as a material. It matches seamlessly with wood, so there is no need to install marble throughout your entire room – unless you want to create that look of grandeur.

These Oak Top Black Marble Basins are a beautiful addition to your bathroom. The high edges of the bowls are modern and stylish, and hold a large volume of water. You can see in the image their ability match with both wood and tile. This is a brilliant quality of marble which is one of the many reasons that we love it so! If the black double basins create too much of a statement for you, then the Grey Quartz Top Marble Basin Choice below is a great substitute. The grey marble has a much softer appearance, whilst the design of the grey sink is round and without the sharper look of the black marble basin.

These basins come with a chrome mixer tap for a modern finish to your unit. To create the double basin look with a softer finish then you can select our Cream Marble Top Cream Marble Basins below. This is a classic marble finish. Which colour do you like best?

So head to our online store & select the basin for you.

Country Cottage Bathrooms

There is an idyllic sense which surrounds country cottages, they awaken a sense of peace and the classic English countryside. This means that they are lots of fabulous bathrooms to be found in these quant cottages & we love discovering them! Due to their classic feel they utilise many of their features to accentuate their bathroom. A brilliant idea to use old beams, or even do this yourself with old railway sleepers, to create shelving is a practical & pretty way to get creative whilst creating more space in your bathroom.

By being smart about the space in your bathroom then leads to creative additions to the area, such as the DIY shelves seen above. Displaying your products can help to give your bathroom a certain style & allow you to show off your favourite ornamental pieces and bathroom favours. Below, this charming country bathroom showcases so many aspects which we love! The beams and exaggeration of wooden features is gorgeous & inviting. The charming farm house style door which then leads to a step down into the bathing area adds those special homely touches whig make this property, and it’s bathroom, stand out.

The use of wood really exaggerates the rustic charm which lives throughout many of these stylised bathrooms. The table below which is adorned with beautiful flowers displayed a vintage jug is just oh so pretty. But of course, no matter how styled your bathroom is – don’t leave out the rubber duck…

Bathroom Gallery Wall

Fitting a gallery wall in your bathroom is a great way to add detail & design. There are so many options available when designing a feature wall in your bathroom. By adding a gallery wall you can add art, frames or photographs. There are also many beautiful frames available which may not even need images in them. You can simply decorate the wall with empty frames – this is a great look if you use a selection of detailed frames.

However, this is a great opportunity for those of you who are passionate about art, design and photography to showcase your favourite pieces. Antique & rustic style picture frames are great for achieving this look. We have brought together a selection of styled images from Pinterest to full you with inspiration.

Our oak furnishings will match brilliantly with a gallery wall. See our range of oak products here. Another option to decorate your bathroom wall is to decorate the area with clocks instead of frames. This is a fun way to put a twist of the gallery wall style.

Using lots of small frames on your wall will make the effect stand out. Some bathrooms may have designs on more than one wall, such as the styling above. By adding a mixture of different coloured picture frames there is more room for interest and design. So go on, get creative & add a beautiful gallery wall to your bathroom.

En-suite Living

If you are lucky enough to have an en-suite bathroom, then you will know how wonderful they are. It’s a pleasant feature in a family home to have your own private area, a place of peace where you can truly relax.

Usually en-suite bathrooms are rather small due to them being added extras to master bedrooms. Due to the spacial constraints of en-suites it can often be a struggle to source the correct fittings, in the right size. So, we have collected a range of our smaller products which are perfect for en-suites and little bathrooms.

Firstly, we recommend our Oak Top Corner Unit Basin Choice & Mirrored Cabinet. This is the perfect set for any bathroom, as it’s a corner unit you are able to focus on other areas of the room – it may even allow you more space to install a tub.

The brilliance of the mirrored unit being a wall fixture, means that this gives you extra floor space for cabinets. We also give you a range of four basins to select from. Head to the page on our site here.

Or, if you are not concerned with corner units then how about our Oak Top Unit Basin Choice & Mirrored Cabinet. This set also comes together with a choice of four basins, so make sure you take a look!

Bright Bathrooms

We love bright colours. Choosing to decorate your bathroom with bold shades is simply one aspect of bathroom design. There are also many other brilliant ways to give your bathroom the attention that it deserves. All of our sink and units will work fantastically with bright colours, so view our full range here.

Many other rooms in the home can pull your attention away from the bathroom. But don’t neglect this space in your home, as there is plenty of room for change, style and class. We are looking at the use of bright and bold colours in the bathroom and how they can help to enhance the space which you would otherwise forget.

Yellow is a great choice when adding brightness to your bathroom, or any room for that matter. The cheerful tone brings life and light into the home. If you have a small bathroom with limited or no windows, then yellow will add the brightness that the room has been lacking. Small tiles, as featured in the image above, look brilliant and the complex look of the finished wall is flawless with extreme detail.

Perhaps you don’t want to commit to adding so much colour to your bathroom if you are unsure of your bold decision. So in this case you could select a smaller area to paint brightly, such as around the mirror of the room, as as seen above. We also love the sink & tap fittings, which give a classic feel to the entire bathroom.

Or perhaps you prefer these brick style tiles above. The roll top bath with classic feet finishes off the look. Which colour will you choose?
