Make Your Bathroom Standout

Unique Eye Catching Bathroom Tiles

Bathroom tiles are not only essential in helping to protect your walls and/or floors, they also become the canvas to your room. For this reason choosing the right style and colour is just as important, if not more, than selecting the other pieces of furniture and sanitary ware you wish to install.

In the past we’ve featured several tiling designs that can help spruce up your bathroom. From brick style tiles to intriguing patterned ones, there are a seemingly endless amount of choices on the market, so no matter what type of décor you’re going for, you’ll be sure to come across just the right tiles for you.

But since there are so many options, we love to share the most unique designs to help give you a better idea of what’s on offer.

Take these stunning Kin tiles for instance. Envisioned by the Madrid-based design studio DSIGNO, and brought to market by the high-end tile company, Harmony-Peronda Group, these Kin ceramic tiles are really like no other.

Boasting a convexed pentagon form, with sparkling, yet gentle earthen tones, the Kin tiles aim to add depth and dimension to your walls. Inspired by a rather unconventional approach – by transforming pentagons into hexagons – the five-sided tiles fit together to form interesting six-side shapes that spread out up and across the walls, resulting in a appearance the resembles cell formation.

The company took home the award for the “Best Design” in 2014 for its Danubio tiles and their free following lines, however we feel the new 2015 range of pentagon and hexagon tiles are ideal for modern, minimalist, and luxury bathrooms.

If you like the design of the Kin tiles, but prefer something a bit less flamboyant, the Papirus tiles offer a similar hexagon appearance. The unique pentagon shape of the Kin tiles can make them slightly more difficult to fit, and the 3D surface they form can make it harder to put up shelving and cabinets.

The Papirus tiles however, come in simple rectangle shapes, and the raised patterns of triangles, diamonds and pentagons provides a surface that’s easier to fit shelves, mirrors or cabinets.

These beautiful tiles offer just enough texture and raised lines to give your bathroom walls depth, but are more subtle and suitable for a wider range of bathroom décor designs.

These, almost futuristic styles of these Peronda tiles might not match our more traditional bathroom furniture items, but we have to agree, they do look truly mesmerizing, and surprisingly calming for something so eye catching.
